The movie "500 Days of Summer." I just saw it and felt that it was a refreshingly unique and beautiful perspective on the many facets of love and relationships. Highly recommended!

My favorite color in the whole world is that deep yet still brightly vivid blue in a cloudless sky as the sun is setting. Call me easily amused, but seeing that gorgeous color fill up sections of the sky brings me so much joy.

Among many other things I've lost several phenominal loved ones (may they continue to rest in peace), nearly all of my once-overwhelming self-consciousnesses (thank heavens!), and a lot of hair (just got a really short hair cut today). So some good losses and some more complicated losses. :)
Have a beautiful day filled to the brim with the best kinds of losses,
Jenna

Sunny and bright but with a cool breeze. I love those days, especially in the autumn with the air starts feeling a bit more crisp and also in the first days of Spring when we aren't used to seeing much sun. So, I guess my favorite sort of weather is the transitional periods in between each of the seasons. :)
(And I could definitely use a cool breeze right now in Davis' 104 degree weather, by the way, yikes!)

Honestly, I'm much better at giving them. Although I do love receiving them, I often don't know quite to react. But I do believe that compliments should be given to others, even absolute strangers, much more frequently than they are now. I try to make it a habit to genuinely compliment someone whenever I see the need to, which is often.
I challenge you today to do the same: how many times today can you find to honestly compliment someone? It could be on a fantastic trait or a kind service they contributed, or simply their smile. Even if we don't quite know how to react when we receive compliments, I do believe everyone needs to get more.
Let's start a strong stream of random acts of kindness this weekend!

In a little German town where my grandmother lived during World War II. My grandfather was American and went oversees with the US Army. I forget what his mission was, but he met my grandmother and apparently they kept talking that day and couldn't stop until it was late at night. They eventually moved to New Jersey and then to california several years before I was born.

Three things are on my scavenger hunt list for this week: 1) a job for after I graduate from college this June, 2) clues about my identity I need to come up with for my Little Sister in my sorority, and 3) enough time to complete all the tasks I have to accomplish.
Good luck in all your scavenger hunts as well! :)
Love,
Jenna
