Phones, memorial fundraisers and summer time: My life this week.

Man it's been an interesting fast few days!

First of all, my poor cell phone just broke and died, and won't work at all. (I couldn't resist posting that picture of the phone since it amuses me so much.) Having no working cell phone makes things a little bit more difficult, but it's also very liberating in a way since it enables me to unplug a bit of the neverending supply of technology we have grown accustomed to in this society. Know what I mean?

But more importantly, today we managed to raise a total of $363.00 for the Angelina Rose Malfitano Memorial Scholarship Fund today, during our annual car wash fundraiser. :)  I am SO happy and grateful about that.  I got into the university's newspaper for organizing it. Check out the story here, if you are curious. Angelina was a VERY Gaia-like person, who strived to do good in the world and to be the change. Unfortunately right before she was about to graduate, she got into a lethal car accident. Our fundraiser today was in her honor. She shall be missed.

I feel very accomplished for organizing such a successful event, especially since it was an event of such importance. I never got to know Angelina, but I already know that we probably would've gotten along really well.

Well, during these last few days I'vr grown so grateful for the beginnings of summer and I cain't wait until I go up to Ashland, Oregon next week with my family and boyfriend Craig. :) That trip is always fun.
