Are you a super hero?

In the light of the recently released summer blockbuster superhero films, I want to know about all of YOUR super powers. I believe that everyone in this world is "super" in some way, and I wanted to create this blog for you to share traits you have that you are proud of...or super powers that you'd really want to have. What abilites or talents or quirks make you incredible and unique? What type of super hero would you be? What would your super name be? And, feel free to share which other Gaians you suspect of having super abilities. I already know that we're surrounded by tons of incredible people on this website, and that we are all heros in our pursuits to change the world. And for that, I thank you all.

I want to be a Superdad!
I want to live in India; the land of a thousand religions & 2 million Gods…

I would want to be the ability to mimic any human being and walk a mile in there shoes.
I could be whatever came to my mind. I am doing as much of that now as possible trying to become whatever is given to me as my joy as my bliss. I to would travel all over the world briefly being people in those cultures to not only visit but to immerse myself in that world.

Oh that is also beautiful, wow. I love that. We are all one. I would love if everyone on this planet had that ability, since when we all realize that we are all much more similar than different, peace will reign. But because of the categorizations we automatically make, and all the nonexistant barriers that our mind and culture create for us, it's often very difficult for people to see beyond the differences.

I'd be like the Flash and Superman, moving very quickly, seeing everything this world has to offer and giving energy to that which resonates.

Haha yes! No capes! I was actually thinking about The Incredibles as I was writing the part about putting on your capes, and almost didn't mention capes because of that part in the movie.
And Paul, you have definitely made the grade too, let me tell you, for you have the super ability to bring joy to people's lives. I'm so grateful for your Gaian Humor Pod and all the laughter, smiles and memories it has given me, especially during our Mardi Gras celebration. Thank you so much.
I'm super at bringing calm to situations. This seems to have value as well.
Sometimes it's the simple presence of my own calm, other times it's the words that I come up with on inspiration. It's very effective in contentious situations, meetings, trainings, whatever. I can do this for everyone… although sometimes I wonder how I still can't seem to get it done for myself - my brain just loves to chatter :D
But no capes needed… not even physical presence required. Just heart output.

That is definitely a valuable ability to have. It's so easy to get your mind racing and we often need a reminder to relax. I'm grateful that relaxation clears the mind, and is incredibly useful in difficult circumstances.
Your post reminded me of a time where my friend, my sister and I were driving in San Francisco one night, late for a concert. The driver, my friend Hannah, never drove in SF before then, and accidentally turned down the wrong way down a one-way street. Hannah and my sister Amber started to freak out, and were terrified, and even though I'm not usually the calmest of people, out of nowhere I became calm, relaxed, and clear-minded. I thought logically, and told Hannah where to turn, and was able to calm them down. To this day, my sister brings up that night and how calm and focused I was then. Bringing calm to situations is definitely a good ability to have. :)

I am a super problem-solver and negotiator. Get me in the middle of a bunch of people arguing, and I can find the common ground. Or get them to laugh to let the tension go.
I want to be a super mom where I can be calm and loving at all times.
I want to see the God-light in everyone under all circumstances. THAT would be super!

Andrea, that's awesome. Man, I need you to hang out with me and my sister. :) We're the best of friends, but we definitely get into epic squabbles and could use finding more common ground. Negotiating is SUCH an important trait to have, and I wish everyone had those skills.
And yes, one of the things that I have personally striven towards is trying to see the godliness in every human being no matter who they are. I agree with you: that would be an incredible power to have, and I wish you the absolute best in getting there! :) It's incredibly possible, I'm sure of it.

Hey Jenna, sorry I couldn't get back to you yesterday, every time i tried to access your profile or blog it came back not available, I even asked Mathews help, but he could only say they were keeping an eye, multiple reasons. Today it was still happening but i followed a comment on your blog to get through!!!! Some awesome comments from everyone. Andrea welcome to Gaia.
Now for my answer well I struggle here don't think I'm a super anything, though I strive to be. I strive to be a super gardener in lifes garden our planet, starting from basics loving the planet, and caring for it, replenishing, reusing, recycling, nourishing the soil, and there's all the different flower people in the garden , our animals and my veg patch all lovingly cultivated. Cultivating love, care and compassion in all directions I guess.

Believe me: you are definitely a super person. :) I love having you around Gaia and reading what you have to say, so you are definitely a Super Gaian (as I believe all of us on this blog are). And through your compassion for all of life's creatures and qualities, you are a super cultivator and a super protector of the Earth. Being devoted to conservation makes you even more super. Plus you are super fun to talk to. :) I think that I'm join to join you as a Super-Striver, since I strive to be a lot of things and to be the best that I can be. And thanks for telling me about my profile bug. I hope that clears up soon.
